ABS Friday Feature 018 - Especially For You...

I was really excited when I saw what was this week's Annabelle Stamps Friday Feature because I haven't yet had the opportunity to use this stamp set yet... Beside The Sea

This set is just so gorgeous. Every little image is useful and designed so well. The sentiments in it are versatile and have gorgeous flowing fonts....

Here's my card...

So again, I kept this card pretty simple. Working with all the talented ladies and seeing their amazing creations on the ABS design team sort off rubs off on you... Anyway, I had a picture of what I was going to do for this card in my head and just went with it... If you know me, you would know this goes against every rule I have when I am creating something..lol!

I stamped the star fish on white cardstock with my Clearsnap Vivid Mini Straw ink pad and then picked out some scrap paper and made a banner. I then used a little bit of Washi Tape and stuck it underneath the banner and chose which sentiment I was going to use, I chose the "Especially For You" sentiment. I then stamped that on to some scrap white cardstock and made that into a banner as well. I stamped the little crab and coloured him in with my Prismacolor pencils and cut him out and placed him just above the sentiment. I thought that the card need a little bit more colour so I stamped the little seaweed using my Clearsnap Vivid Mini Olive ink pad on and around the starfishes.. I then placed the little green gem stones on the card to finish it off.

And there you go... All finished!

You still have time to join us with our current challenge, you can find the details HERE!  Also don’t forget to check out the rest of the team members creations you can find their links at the bottom of this post! Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend.

Now on to this Friday Feature! Today we are featuring one of our brand new stamp sets and a favourite of mine "Butterfly Sunshine". I love this set... Not only are the butterflies beautifully designed the sentiments are so versatile!

 This is my card...

I kept this card very simple and tried to let the image speak for itself instead of using a lot of different embellishments... I suppose that's what a CAS card is isn't it?!! LOL! Anyway, I stamped the largest butterfly on white cardstock and then coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils, then I cut it out. I then went over the butterfly with my Glossy Accents to give the butterfly a little more depth... Not that you can see it in these photo's, but trust me it's there!

Then using MME's "Sky's the limit" 6x6 paper pad and EK Success border punch and some pearls put the card together. To finish it off I stamped the sentiment "Hello Sunshine" down the bottom.

You still have time to join us with our current challenge, you can find the details HERE!  Also don’t forget to check out the rest of the team members creations you can find their links at the bottom of this post! Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a great weekend.

AC#170 - Sketch Challenge. Hello Sunshine!

Today at Annabelle Stamps we have another fantastic sketch challenge for you!!

Here's the amazing sketch...

And this is my interpretation of the sketch...

When I first saw the sketch for this week's challenge I knew that I was going to use one of the gorgeous butterflies from the brand new "Butterfly Sunshine" stamp set...

I started off my card by stamping the largest butterfly in the set on white cardstock, I then coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils and cut it out. I then stamped two banners from the brand new BBD8 stamps set...

...with my Clearsnap, Vivid Mini Sky Blue ink pad and cut them out. Then choosing a yellow scrap bit of paper from my scrap pile (I'm pretty sure this one is from MME) that co-ordinated with the butterfly I stuck everything together....

The "Hello Sunshine" sentiment is one of 4 of the fabulous sentiments included in the gorgeous "Butterfly Sunshine" stamp set...

Today at Annabelle Stamps we have another fantastic sketch challenge for you!!

Here's the amazing sketch...

 And here's my version...

I really didn't have any idea how this card was going to turn out but I new that I wanted to use my Annabelle Stamps "Sentimental Bluebells" stamp set...

First I stamped one of the flower stems on white cardstock and coloured it in with my Prismacolor pencils. I then distressed the edge of the cardstock with Tim Hotlz's Crushed Olive distress ink. Then choosing some papers from my Simple Stories "Harvest Lane" 6x6 paper pad and following the sketch and doing a little sewing came up with the above card...

The sentiment "Just A Note" is just one of the gorgeous sentiments included in the set.The border punch is from EK Success.

Tiddly Inks Challenge # 112 - Summer Sun!

You would honestly think that after all these years of being on American Design Teams {which I have loved every second btw!!} that I would be used to using summer images and making Summer themed cards in the middle of our winter... But I'm not! LOL!

You know the up side of doing these fantastic challenges is that while I am sitting at my desk watching the rain fall or freezing my butt off is that it actually makes me feel better and a bit warmer and that I have something to look forward to in a couple of months... When they are all freezing their butts off!!

Here's the Tiddly Inks challenge... Make a Summer themed card peoples....

I know this is not exactly a Summer themed card per-say, but I couldn't hold off on colouring up this  image of "Whatever Blooms" any more, she's just too gorgeous!! So instead of a summer image I used summer papers instead. These one's are from Echo Park's "Hello Summer" 6x6 paper pad.

I started of the card by printing off "Whatever Blooms" on white cardstock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolor Pencils... All except for her dress which I paper pieced. I used Deconstructing Sketch #104 for inspiration ... I think I have found my new favorite sketch! Just added some sewing, a flower and button and then added my little TSG "Hello " sentiment and done...easy!

*Remember:  You must use a Tiddly Inks image to qualify for any of the features or prizes.
If you would like to join us for this two week challenge you can get the full details at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and if you like any of the amazing images you see on the Challenge Blog you can find all the gorgeous images HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store.

And please be sure to hop around and check out what the rest of the Tiddly Inks Design Team has made we have some bad-ass, madly talented members that will blow you away with their amazing creations!!!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #111... Big Bad Dad!!!

I have another Tiddly Inks Challenge for you! This is all about the men in your lives.

All you have to do is make a manly man card.... It can be a little boy card, a teen card, or maybe you can get in early and make a Father's Day card like I did!! Easy right?!!

Did I ever mention to you that I LOVE it when a card just falls together on it's own... Well, this one was one of those :0).

I started off the card by printing out one of my favourite manly man Tiddly Inks images "Big Bad Dad". I then coloured him in with my Prismacolor pencils all except for the tie which I paper pieced with one of the design papers from MME's Meadowlark 6x6 paper pad. The nuts and bolts comes with Big Bad Dad when you buy him along with a sentiment and some other bits and pieces.

Deconstructing Sketch #102 - Just A Note...

It's time for another Deconstructing Sketch. Speaking of time I felt that I was running out of it to get this week's card done so there really isn't much too it...

I basically printed out one of Christy's BRAND NEW Tiddly Inks Fairies this one is called "Fairy Tenderhearted" and you can find her HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store. I then coloured her in with my Prismacolor pencils and chose some papers from MME's Kate and Co's "Oxford Lane" 6x6 paper pad and added some sewing and a button and.... WALLA! Card done and on time too!

The sentiment "Just A Note" is from Hero Arts. The stamp set it comes from is pretty old now but Hero Arts always has fantastic sentiment sets!

Here is Jen's sketch for this week...
