Vanuatu Day Three ... Sailing and Snorkeling!

Work's been a little crazy and I literary ran out of time this week to organize all the photo's from day 3 in Vanuatu.... I didn't even have time to play with filters this week :0( ..... So here they are, a day late but done:

Day 3 of our trip was for me the best. We went sailing and snorkeling at Paradise Cove which is about a 20 minute sail from Port Vila...

Heading out...

James and Wendy looking very relaxed...

Andy just chillin'

Most of these shots are a combination of both Wendy's and mine. All the underwater shots are from Wendy... Oh yeah, me... Looking blurry and VERY dorky!!

A shot of the boat from the beach...

View on the beach of the beach...

Andy kayaking...

James...

Ok...Now we have all the really cool underwater shots...

James holding a sea urchin. See the white stuff? That's really sticky and took James ages to get it all off his hands!

Wendy after we had finished... Just chillin'

Andy...

Me...

One of the rare moments when I let Andy have my camera...

Afterwards at Nambawan Cafe...

Vanuatu... Day Two "Waterfalls and Cocktails"

These are Day Two photo's of our trip to Vanuatu. We went to The Merli Falls which is about 20 mins away from Port Vila. As you head out of town you go through all the little villages that surround the town and it really hits you how beautiful the island is but it also hits you that you are staying in a third world country! Anywhoo, this is REALLY picture heavy {about 30} so on with the show.....

These are the gardens at the bottom of the Waterfalls...

Me and Andy...

This is our guide Robert. And the little boy is Nicholas and Nicholas mum... In this shot is of Robert showing Nicholas how to make a pinwheel of sorts out of leaves...

The incomparable Mrs McVitty...

What should be a 15 min walk to the falls took us 3/4 of an hour but it was so worth the extra time because if Robert didn't stop every 5 minutes to making things along the way and explain their culture and then show us little tracks that you wouldn't know were there, we would have missed amazing views like this...

And if not for the other lovely people on the tour we wouldn't have photo's like these...

The path way leading to the waterfalls...

Robert still talking.....

James next to the biggest bamboo I have seen in a while!

The gorgeous McVitty's....

Here Robert was telling us that a man in his country is usually ready to get married around the age of 23/24 ... But the ladies are not ready to get married till the age of about 35... When they stop complaining about cooking and being in the Kitchen... I told everyone I still wasn't ready!!!

The long and the short of it!

Heading up to the waterfalls....

Butterfly...

We were going on a sailing and snorkling tour the next day and after we got back from the waterfalls and changed we headed into Port Vila and found where we were catching the boat the next day, which happened to be at the back of a little cafe where we had some lunch...

This is the view from our bungalow where we settled in for the afternoon ...

This is the hotel resort's cat "Spike"...

And these are Banana Monkey's!!! YUM!!!

So that was Day Two... Next week Sailing and Snorkeling!!
