Docnstructing Sketch #107 - Happy Birthday To You!

I tried... I really tried to stay true to Amber's amazing sketch but the card sort of took on a life of it's own and... Well... This is what happened....

You can see the sketch in there can't you?! Amber's awesome sketch is a fantastic starting base for any card. It really has so many options and you can leave it simple or make it busy...

I started this card by stamping the circle {from Taylored Expressions stamp of the month March set} with my Clearsnap Vivid "Olive" ink pad and then cut it out to use as the oval in the sketch. Then choosing some papers from my Simple Stories "Vintage Bliss" 6x6 paper pad and loosely following Amber's sketch did a little sewing and put the card together. Can I just say I LOVE the yellow patterned paper and if I could I would have it as wallpaper or maybe a a cushion cover somewhere in my house!  The butterfly {also from the set} I inked with my Tsukineko Brilliance pearlescent "Sky Blue" ink pad {say that 3 times really fast} and the lace is from Spotlight.... The "Happy Birthday To You" sentiment also comes in the set and was just the perfect thing to finish the card off....

Here's what you have to do to if you want to play along with us...

Here is Jen's AMAZING sketch...

Because Taylored Expressions is one of our amazing sponsors for this fabulous celebration I decided that I would show off my March "Stamp Of the Month" Make It Memorable stamp set (which I subscribe to).
