Deconstructing Sketch #99 - Spread Sunshine...

Wow!! 99 Deconstructing Sketches... It's hard to believe that I have been with this amazing DT for nearly 2 years!!! Next week we will be celebrating our 100 Sketch, obviously, and it's going to be huge people..HUGE!! So please make sure that you visit next week so you don't miss out on all the fun! First though let's get on with this week's awesome sketch...

For this challenge I decided to colour up one of my favourite, but never had the opportunity, images from Tiddly Inks "Emma - Celebrate Joyfully".

I started of by printing her out on white card stock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolor pencils. And then following Jen's sketch...

... Cut her out to fit. Then using my MME On The Bright Side - One, 6x6 paper pad and a little sewing here and there I proceeded to put the card together. I'm really not sure about this card. I think something is missing or maybe I have over done it, but it's not working for me. Problem is I have run out of time and so what you see is what you get...LOL!

If you love the image of "Emma - Celebrate Joyfully" as much as I do you can find her HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store

Here's what you have to do to if you want to play along with us...

1. Use the sketch above to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like.
2. Post it somewhere on the internet. Use keyword DS99 if you post to an online gallery like Splitcoaststampers.

AC161 - Sketch Challenge. Everyday Is A Gift...

Sooooo some very exciting news, Andrea Hayes owner of the Australian based "Annabelle Stamps" asked me...yes, little old me, to joining her AMAZING design team. Ok, get ready.. going to gush.... If you haven't seen these absolutely gorgeous stamps you really need too AND as for the ladies on the design team...OMGoodness!!! Soooo much talent in one spot!! I am so on cloud 9!! ... So get ready for my first challenge... Which happens to be a sketch challenge, which I love....

This is my interpretation on the above sketch...

I started out making this card by choosing the very gorgeous Annabelle Stamps Set...

 "Sentimental Bluebells"

which you can find HERE at the Annabelle Stamp Store.

Then I picked out one of my all time favorite MME 6x6 paper pads, Lost and Found Two's "Sunshine". I stamped with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink the gorgeous circle and the sentiment "Everyday Is A Gift". And then I hit a wall...  You would think being a sketch challenge that everything would fall into place... But no, not this card. I played with it, walked away... Played with it again, walked away... But I got it done in the end.... And I am pretty happy with it!!

If you would like to join us for this two week challenge just add your creation to the inlinkz on the Annabelle Stamps Blog and if you like any of the amazing stamps used by the DT you can find them HERE at the Annabelle Stamps Store.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #107 - Distress, Emboss or Stitch... The Choice Is Yours!

On to the challenge!  For the two week challenge, we are asking you to use a Tiddly Ink image (as always) and show us a bit of distressing, stitching, or embossing.  You can use all three or one of the three, it's up to you!  Make sure to make a new project to link up and PLEASE BE SURE TO USE A TIDDLY INKS IMAGE!

This is my card... I went with a bit of distressing and stitching with the very gorgeous digital image of Wryn - Happy Mail!

I started out by printing Wryn out on white card stock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolour pencils. I then cut her out. I then printed out the little mail box that come's with Wryn when you purchase her as an accessory. I coloured the mailbox and chalked the sky and then placed Wryn next to it completing my scene.

The paper I used on the card are from MME's "My Girl" 6x6 designer pad. I distressed most of the papers and used a little bit of stitching in the banners.

Make It Crafty AND Tiddly Inks "Unlock The Secrets" Joint Blog Hop!!!

How cool is this??!!! After months of preparation Christy from Tiddly Inks and Zoe from Make It Crafty are ready to share with you this amazing release!

Not only do we have some AWESOME new images to showcase for you today from both of these spectacular ladies, we have a hieroglyphic "SERCRET" code too, so as you hop along check for a set of hieroglyphic symbols that spell out a secret saying....

To keep this hop simple, we are going to be hopping from the main post HERE and not linking from blog to blog. To make this work, we suggest you open a new window for each link (click CNTRL and the link you wish to visit), which will open the next blog and keep the main post up too...that simple. This way, you can easily navigate between each blog in the hop and return to the main page when you are ready to go to the next blog.

Here are my cards...

This card includes the Make It Crafty "Desert Oasis" image, which you can find at the Make It Crafty Store and the very cute Tiddly Inks "Cleo Hand Maiden" which you can find HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store.

I started off this card by printing out the Desert Oasis and Cleo on white card stock and then colouring both in with my Prismacolor pencils, all except for Cleo's dress which I paper pieced. The strips of scrap papers I have used on the card are from MME's {don't ask me which because I think they are all mixed up lol!}.

This card was really simple to put together. I cut Cleo out and then placed her on the Desert Oasis background image and then basically just fiddled with the card until I was happy with the end result.

For my second card I chose to do a C&S card using the very gorgeous Tiddly Inks image of Cleopatra on Chaise, which you can find HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store

I really loved doing the C&S style and it's something different for me!! I started off by printing out Cleopatra on white card stock, coloured her in with my Prismacolor pencils and then using some strips of papers from MME's Indie Chic "Nutmeg" 6x6 paper pad, finished the card off....

Now that you have seen my cards off you go back the the main post HERE and checkout all the other AMAZING creations that the Make It Crafty and Tiddly Inks DT's have in store for you!!

 Oops!....Oh yeah... Don't forget this!!!

Deconstructing Sketch #92 - You Make Me Smile and My Tiddly Inks Throwback Thursday Card...

This week it's my turn to present a Tiddly Inks Throwback Thursday card and so I thought I would try to be a bit clever and use Jen's Deconstructing Challenge Sketch and combine the two!

On the Tiddly Inks Blog {Not the challenge blog, but THE blog} every week one of the awesome Tiddly Inks DT ladies gets to present you with an image that Christy created from her early days of designing Tiddly Inks images... For my turn I have chosen the very cute image of "Donna" .... for obvious reasons... LOL!

As you can see this is not a card per-say.. It's a huge tag... That you could use as a card...

I started off the tag by printing out Donna on white card stock and then coloured her in using my Prismacolor pencils. I then cut her out and using this very gorgeous MME 6x6 paper pad from the Collectable collection called "Remarkable" put it all together using Jen's awesome sketch...

I distressed around the edges of the pattern paper and used a dollie to represent the circle on the sketch. The flower is from Prima and the sentiment from Hero Arts.

Gotta love those little froggies!!! If you love the image of Donna just as much as I do you can find her HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store...

Here's what you have to do to enter:

1. Use the sketch above to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like.
2. Post it somewhere on the internet. Use keyword DS92 if you post to an online gallery like Splitcoaststampers.
