I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and your New Year is becoming everything that you hoped it would be....
I feel I have to apologize for being absent from my lonely little blog... I took January off from blogging and card making to rejuvenate and get back the joy and happiness that card making gives me and also to spend time with my family during the school holidays without deadlines and pressure.
I have to say a huge thank you to Jen from The Deconstructing Sketch and Christy from Tiddly Inks for allowing me this personal time as it's a big ask to be absent from a design team for a whole month and they have been so supportive and understanding and I really feel happy about getting back into the swing of things...
That been said, here is my first card for 2013...
This is a card I made for my nephew Ryan birthday. The gorgeous little image is from Tiddly Inks and is called Roboto. The papers are from Fancy Pants "To The Moon" 6x6 paper pad.
I started the card off by printing Roboto out on white card stock and then colouring him in with my Prismacolor pencils, all except for the balloons, which I paper pieced to match the rest of the papers. I then distressed and sewed around the edges of the background paper and then distressed the rest of the pattern papers as well. I used a Fiskars border punch in the middle and pennant banner punch for the bottom on which I stamped Ryan's name using an old Hero Arts alphabet stamp set I have had for ages.
The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmies Everyday Sentiment Set.
