Tiddly Inks Challenge - Halloween!!

Halloween has never been a big holiday here in Australia, in fact growing up we as a family have never celebrated. I have noticed that in the last few years that it is becoming more and more popular and today I had that confirmed when I walked into Woolworths and there sitiing on the floor as you walk in door was a big box full of pumpkins waiting to be carved up!

I often wonder {and please, this is in no way insulting my American and English friends} how long it takes a international traditional holiday eg: Halloween, Thanksgiving for it to trickle into Australia... I mean, don't we have enough holidays of our own? I know that we watch A LOT of American and English TV and with FB and other social media it's so easy to fall into the celebrations of your friends and acquaintances who live overseas... And I am in NO WAY saying that these holidays are not important...Cause they are.... To people who actually celebrate them and have done so all their lives....

Then again, maybe I'm the one who is stuck in the mud and I should just go with the flow... Maybe a good scare is just what I need!

Anywho, you didn't come here to see me on my soap box so we will get on with what's really important.. A brand new Tiddly Inks Challenge - Halloween!!

One thing good about celebrating Halloween is all the really cute and amazing images out there you get to colour and Christy's images are no exception!!

I started of this card buy printing the gorgeous "Trick or Treat Wryns" on white card stock. I then coloured them in with my Prismacolor pencils. Because I wanted the image to be the main foucus of the card I kept thing fairly simple. The papers are from October Afternoon's "Witch Hazel" 8x8 paper pad {which btw way is gorgeous!!}. The border punch is from EK Success and the sentiment is from my days on Wild Flower Kids DT ....

If you would like to join us for this two week challenge you can get the full details at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and if you like any of the amazing images you see on the Challenge Blog you can find all the gorgeous images HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store.

And please be sure to hop around and check out what the rest of the Tiddly Inks Design Team has made we have some brand new members that will blow you away with there amazing talents.... As well as the older members too!!!

G'morning Donna!! I imagine seeing the trickling of holidays you aren't accustom to celebrating roll through to be a hard train to get on board with, especially if you don't really like the holiday anyway. hugs!
