Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge # 16 - Be A Little Ripper...

Hey Everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA for a few days and not getting around
to commenting on all your beautiful blogs...
I have been a bit under the weather and have needed
to sort of re-group and get myself back into the swing of things.
Ok, yeah, you caught me out...I also have had my nose in a book!
If you have the time go and read Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
Amazing book...I just wish it was longer and now I am
hanging out for the sequel that is coming out in July!!

Anyway...
Enough about me!
And on to some extremely fun stuff...
Like a

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Challenge

This week the delightful and divine Diana has challenged us to

"Be A Little Ripper"

That's right Diana would like us to....
WHAT!!?? Rip my pretty DP....
Oh hold on!!
And you guys thought no embellishments was bad!!
....But ripping pretty paper, I don't know about this....
LOL!

Ok, yeah a bit of an over reaction I admit....
But I confess, I have never liked ripping my paper.
So this IS actually a challenge for me....

For this challenge I decided to use
the very pretty Posy...

I am trying...At the moment anyway, to use up
all my scrap DP paper I have in my folder.
I don't think that it is going to be a problem
since I think it's all gorgeous DP anyway...
But I swear every now and again I hear little voices
coming from my new paper saying "use me, use me"...
Ummmm maybe I should have kept that to myself...
Kimmie already thinks I am insane. :0)
So, in my scrap bits I had this DP from
MME called "Love Me Do"...
And I thought that it would go perfect
for this card and Posy...

I coloured her in with my Prisma's..
I have this thing for red at the moment...
So this worked well for me.
I used Poppy Red and Crimson Red for her dress.
Canary yellow, Pale Vermillion, Limepeel and Dark Green
for the rest of the colours. I decided to cut her out and
place her on some white card that I distressed with
TH Fired Brick Distress Ink.

I also distressed around the white card in the inside with the distress ink.
And used the gorgeous little rose that comes
with Posy as an compliment stamp
when you buy her to decorate the inside as well....

I used the "Have A Rosy Day" sentiment from Kimmie's
Fun Sentiments
on the inside and outside of the card.

Now, I know that this challenge will be easy for you...
and I know that the wonderfully taleneted
Krafty Girls
have been at it again and made some incrediably
beautiful and gorgeous creations,
so please head on over to the

Kraftin Kimmie Challenge Blog

and check them out!
While you are there have a look at the details
for this challenge...And have a go!!
Just remember if you do decide to play along
use a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp and you could
be in the running to win another one!!

One more thing...
I am really excited!!!
Kimmie's new stamp release
is coming up really fast...
And you are going to
LOVE them!!!

Thanks For Looking!

Utterly fabulous, Donna!!

I'm not much for ripping and tearing papers either, so it was a challenge for me too! I wussed out a little and just used my distressing tool! Freehand tearing makes me all squinky!
