Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge # 14 - Keep It Simple!

It's time again for another

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp Challenge!

This week yours truly has thought up the theme!

.....And, you know....
Sometimes I think I am too clever for my own good,
cause, did I think up a dosey...

Keep It Simple

No Ribbon, Buttons, Flowers or any Embellishments!!!

WHAT was I thinking??!!

Ok, it wasn't THAT bad...
(I was SO tempted to add just a little bit of ribbon!!)
...especially when we got to use this amazing sketch from

Sketch Saturday

Whom Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring this week...

So this is my "No" embellishment card....

Ok...So it not exactly the sketch...But pretty close!!

I decided to use Lavinia for this challenge cause she is one
of my favourite Kimmie images to colour and picked this
gorgeous October Afternoon DP that I just keep going back to.

I coloured Lavinia in with my Prisma's using Indigo Blue,
Perwinkle, Blue Slate, Limepeel and Dark Green for her dress
and I used Ginger Root, Light Umber, Chocolate and Black for her hair.
I really don't know why I feel the need to cut everything out,
but, I did it again...cause I thought she would look good.

I had to use one of my new
Martha Stewart Border Punches.
And the 'Happy Birthday' is from
Kimmie's Everyday Sentiments.

Now if you would like to play along with us this week,
head on over to the

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge Blog

and checkout all the details and while you are there you have
to have a look at what the Krafty Girls have come up with using
no embellishments... I feel like a proud mum!! They have just
created the most beautiful cards!!!

And remember if you do play with us, use a
Kraftin' Kimmie Image on your card or project
you could win "Lavinia".... So cool!!

Thanks For Looking!

Oh my goodness Donna, it's STUNNING! I can only imagine how hard it was to hold-back, walk away and not use any embellishes, LOL! But it turned out awesome without them! Amazing coloring on Lavinia, great details, and yes...I love that MS border punch!

I think this card is beautiful! You don't need anything else! I love your coloring and the edge detail! This image would be great for this weeks Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge with that dress! (The movie is Australia, right up your alley!)

This card rocks! You sure picked a doozie of a challenge {grumble, grumble}, but I will persevere! I love Lavinia - she is a spunky little doll and you've done her justice! I can't wait till you're permanently on the KKS team...I know that's coming!! ;o)
