TTIC # 51 - Edward...And A Pink Elephant Thrown In...

Oh...I am sooooo going to enjoy this challenge!!!

Not only do we get to perv..Ooops! Let me start again....Not only do we get to do a challenge based on one of my most favourite subjects, we get to tell you why we all
love him!! This week's challenge was lovingly thought up ( I actually think it was on the spur of the moment) by our own beautiful, gorgeous and very talented Jen....

"Edward"

Jen writes: So recently as I was typing out all 50 of the challenges that we have previously done something struck me as odd. We've never done a challenge dedicated solely to Edward. We've done Rosalie, Emmett, which team are you on, Jacob, Carlisle, the Mums, both sides of Alice's life, Bella, Jasper and now Charlie but we have never done on just for Edward.

Well I'm calling it! It's time to focus on Rob...I mean Edward. Even though the stories are told from Bella's point of view all of the books with the exception of Breaking Dawn focus almost entirely on Edward, through Bella's mind. Even in New Moon when Edward is gone her every action is focused on not losing her connection with him. So for this challenge I want you to focus on your connection to Edward. What does his character mean to you?

For the creative challenge: Create a project that focuses on Edward.

For the comment portion: How do you feel about Edward's character? Is it like, love or disdain? have you read the partial draft of Midnight Sun? What did you think about reading the story from his point of view?

Are you comfortable?? This is looonnng story!!

First, I had to separate Rob from Edward (cause those of you who know me know I have this whole stalking crush thing going on with Rob) because my first initial thought was just plastering my whole blog with pictures of Rob and leaving it at that....Fortunately, Jac talked me out of that one..... And then wouldn't you know it...I couldn't think of anything to do...a card...yeah, ok that would be good...A layout, yeah I could do that...Nothing I thought of inspired me ...Plus we have the blog hop coming up and I wanted to do something really special for that...So, I went back to the card idea and while Jac was talking me out of plastering my blog with all the photo's I have of Rob (he has his own file) she suggested I use my "Edward" stamp from TGF and do a card....Ok, she is using the Edward stamp and I am just copying her....

Then, while I was pondering how I was going to use my stamp... I came across
The Pink Elephant Challenge for this week...

And this week they have come up with this sketch....

So here is my card....

While this stamp doesn't look a whole like Rob (sigh) it does represent Edward so out with my trusty Prisma Pencils and....There you go....

Stamps: TGF, Edward
Paper: My Mind's Eye
Ink: Versafine-Black, TH Walnut Distress Ink
Accessories: Ribbon, Fiskars Border Punch, Buttons
Technique: Distressing, Prisma Pencils

Ok....So seriously now... I do know the difference between Rob and Edward
(Rob's hotter) so let's just forget the movie side of this whole thing for a bit and concentrate on Edward...
Well I like Edward...He's romantic, strong, protective and very passionate about Bella but he also peeves me... He is stubborn and thinks he's right ALL the time...
But when you read Midnight Sun like I have, you can actually see where he's coming from... I actually like Midnight Sun better than Twilight..In fact, I find that I like all fiction, be it Fan Fiction or Midnight Sun better from Edwards point of view.
And we can only hope that one day Steph finishes what she started cause I can only see it getting better...
If you haven't read Midnight Sun please go to Stephenie's site and check it out....So worth the read...But be prepared there is only 12 chapters...

Now to the fun bit....

Aww...he looks gorgeous! I love the hair! And the colors you put with him match him perfectly! I totally agree about Midnight Sun! It really helped me understand a lot of his stubborn tendencies. I love his sense of humor in it too!

I can not believe you started your post by saying you get to perv out... that's classy. ;) And why do you have to post pictures of a half naked Rob BEFORE your card. I had to force myself to scroll past that to see what you made, which is equally gorgeous by the way and I almost CASED it and then discovered that I really can't CASE anything because I always change it too much but... any way. GORGEOUS card. I love your take on that sketch and your coloring of Edward... and on a side note, I may have already commented on this, but I don't care. I'm gonna do it again. ;)
