Friends with Flair Friday....

I am sorry that I haven't been around much this week...It's school holidays here at the moment and the whole craft thing has slowed right down considering that my sister Cindy is staying with her 3 kids. We have been to the Monarto Zoo and the movies and shopping... But I couldn't miss out on doing one of my most favourite things and that is Unity's

Friends With Flair Friday....

So a really quick post it is then....

I ummmed and arrrrred about this card and I admit that it is not one of my favourites...You know when you have great ideas and they just don't turn out the way you hoped...Well this is one of those times. And since I ran out of time to do another card...I am afraid you are stuck with this.....

So, I stamped and embossed the sentiment and then went around the edges of the white card with the Dandelion flower and then distressed it... But you see this is the thing I don't like...To me it looks a bit crowded and if I had the time I would of distress the card in another colour...But I didn't have the time and just went with what I had...LOL!

Stamps: Unity, September KOM
Paper: Jillibean
Ink: Black Versafine, TH Distress Ink-Walnut
Technique: Distressing, Embossing
Accessories: MS Border Punch, Ribbon

So that's my card for this week... Now you really need to go to Angela's blog and checkout ALL the ladies that are participating this week in
Unity's Friends With Flair Friday...

Thanks For Looking!!

I think the card is gorgeous. I think it would be good if you would have distressed in another color too, but I think that it look wonderful as is. Glad to hear you are having fun with your sister and family. Share some pics if you have any! Hugs!!!

Donna you are crazy girl. This card looks great! I love it. I love how you used the dandelions around the edge and the dark colors... that's kind of different for you but it's working! I've been missing you since you've gotten so busy. You better get your bum back on the computer next week. ((Hugs))

I think it's so funny how cards we are not personally in love with, everyone else REALLY loves! That happens to me all the time. But anyway, I REALLY love this!! It's so warm and rich!

First off..you are SO incredible!! I am so flattered by your comment. I consider it a huge one coming from someone as super talented as you! You made my day! Heck, my month! :o)
I have to totally disagree with your opinion of your card! I wouldn't change anything! You are such a pro at distressing. You made it seem as if that sentiment is glowing! Only you could take a sentiment and make it look that exquisite!!

I think this is an AMAZING card Donna...I am so pleased we got to be 'stuck' with it ;-).

Your capture of it is stunning too. I felt like I could reach right out and touch it. Magic.

Love the sentiment, and those wee Dandelions. Cute.

Have a great weekend,

Gorgeous card...how true it is too. As I tell stories of my boy at work, I have a coworker who often states that she wishes she had enjoyed all the little things about her kiddos. :o)
