A Guided Tour, Some Painting and A Bit of Fun...

My friend Sharon recently moved back up to Adelaide and back to the house that they have rented out for the last 3 years....So before they moved back in (they are living at Craig's parents at the moment while they are overseas) they decided to give the place a paint and a general clean up (they got a bit more than they bargained for) and I went to catch up with her and help paint window's yesterday......

Storage space in the "Family Room".

This is Sharon's craft space...her pride and joy, her spot, the place she can let all those creative juices flow....did I just say juices? ewwwww.....

This is the inside of the "Family Room".....a bit messy because everything they own is in here at the moment......

The "Family Room".....This was a shed that they converted in to Family Room. It has a sink and storage and they can just vege in there if they want to....Sharon is hoping that the kids will spend most of their time down here so the house will stay nice and clean.....With 4 girls...Good luck!

Looking up to the back door.....I haven't shown you but to the left is the pergola area...Sharon has lay-by ed a new outdoor setting, I think she said that it was reduced from $600 to $400.

View of the "Family Room" looking down from the house....

They ripped up the carpet in the bedrooms and they have these fantastic floor boards underneath....They are going to look really great when they are polished.

This is Sarah's room....

This is Sharon and Craig's bedroom....It was painted a yucky blue so they painted it a nice creamy colour....You wouldn't believe how much bigger the room looks and how much brighter.

This is the kitchen... They found that the taps were leaking so they decided to replace them..only to find the bench top and the wall behind the taps was rotting so they had to replace the laminate, only they have discontinued the one they had and now they had to buy new laminate for all the kitchen!!!

This is the dinning room...the tenant painted it blue. Sharon decided she didn't mind the colour so Craig and her are just freshening it up a bit. We painted this window as well..

Sharon painting the window's, I did help honestly!

I love the floor boards in the house! It looks like a nice place, it just needs a little fixing up :-)

Thanks for the tour. Isn't she just going to love having a spot just for her, I know I do, even if it is a shared one. Seeing th efloor boards makes me inspired to rip up our yucky carpet, sigh, maybe one day. Maybe one day the famiy will come home and find me gone mad and find ripped up carpet laying everywhere.
Not many more sleeps now,
Xx

What a beautiful home... especially the shed (now family room) - the wood paneling is gorgeous!

I would love to have one of the "Family Rooms" away from my house. Then the family could go in there and I could clean the rest of the house.

It looks like you guys did a lot of work.
