Tiddly Inks Challenge # 112 - Summer Sun!

You would honestly think that after all these years of being on American Design Teams {which I have loved every second btw!!} that I would be used to using summer images and making Summer themed cards in the middle of our winter... But I'm not! LOL!

You know the up side of doing these fantastic challenges is that while I am sitting at my desk watching the rain fall or freezing my butt off is that it actually makes me feel better and a bit warmer and that I have something to look forward to in a couple of months... When they are all freezing their butts off!!

Here's the Tiddly Inks challenge... Make a Summer themed card peoples....

I know this is not exactly a Summer themed card per-say, but I couldn't hold off on colouring up this  image of "Whatever Blooms" any more, she's just too gorgeous!! So instead of a summer image I used summer papers instead. These one's are from Echo Park's "Hello Summer" 6x6 paper pad.

I started of the card by printing off "Whatever Blooms" on white cardstock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolor Pencils... All except for her dress which I paper pieced. I used Deconstructing Sketch #104 for inspiration ... I think I have found my new favorite sketch! Just added some sewing, a flower and button and then added my little TSG "Hello " sentiment and done...easy!

*Remember:  You must use a Tiddly Inks image to qualify for any of the features or prizes.

All you have to do is make a manly man card.... It can be a little boy card, a teen card, or maybe you can get in early and make a Father's Day card like I did!! Easy right?!!

Did I ever mention to you that I LOVE it when a card just falls together on it's own... Well, this one was one of those :0).

I started off the card by printing out one of my favourite manly man Tiddly Inks images "Big Bad Dad". I then coloured him in with my Prismacolor pencils all except for the tie which I paper pieced with one of the design papers from MME's Meadowlark 6x6 paper pad. The nuts and bolts comes with Big Bad Dad when you buy him along with a sentiment and some other bits and pieces.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #109 - A Movie Or Book Character!

This is going to be so much fun!!! For this Tiddly Inks Challenge we are asking you to choose a book or movie character and then using one of the many inspiring Tiddly Inks images, make that character come to life!! There are sooooo many choices in the store or maybe you have already have an image that straight away comes to mind!

Here is my card. I chose the gorgeous image of Be Bold, Be You! Ballerina inspired by the movie Black Swan...

For this card I knew that I wanted to keep the whole black and white theme of the movie so first thing I did was pick out my papers. I went with MME's Meadowlark 6x6 paper pad, which when I first saw it didn't think I would use many of the papers very much, but much to my surprise, I really fell for the whole paper pad!

I printing out the ballerina on white card stock and then colouring her in with my Prismacolor pencils put the card together with the papers. I finished off the card with a gorgeous white Prima flower and used some sentiments from Taylored Expressions "Simple Greetings" stamp set.

*Remember: You must use a Tiddly Inks image to qualify for any of the features or prizes.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #107 - Distress, Emboss or Stitch... The Choice Is Yours!

On to the challenge!  For the two week challenge, we are asking you to use a Tiddly Ink image (as always) and show us a bit of distressing, stitching, or embossing.  You can use all three or one of the three, it's up to you!  Make sure to make a new project to link up and PLEASE BE SURE TO USE A TIDDLY INKS IMAGE!

This is my card... I went with a bit of distressing and stitching with the very gorgeous digital image of Wryn - Happy Mail!

I started out by printing Wryn out on white card stock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolour pencils. I then cut her out. I then printed out the little mail box that come's with Wryn when you purchase her as an accessory. I coloured the mailbox and chalked the sky and then placed Wryn next to it completing my scene.

The paper I used on the card are from MME's "My Girl" 6x6 designer pad. I distressed most of the papers and used a little bit of stitching in the banners.

Tiddly inks Challenge #105 - Clean And Simple!

Time again for another Tiddly Inks Challenge and this one is EASY! Well, for me it was, maybe not for some of the other Tiddly Inks DT girls...LOL!

I have to admit I took inspiration for my card from the AMAZING Alice Wertz. Not only has she the most awesome colouring skills EVER, she rocks the Clean and Simple look in a way that floors me every time!!

I started off my card by printing out one of my favorite Tiddly images Wryn - Fairy Friends.

I then coloured in the image with my Prismacolor pencils leaving Wryn's dress because I wanted to paper piece it with some MME's paper pad scraps I have had sitting in my basket for awhile now.

Then using some more co-ordinating scraps of paper { I think that there's a few bits from different pads...} I placed a boarder at the top and the little bits down below and then stamped the "Happy Birthday" on the card and added some buttons and walla... Done! EASY!

Tiddly Inks Challenge #104 - Critters...

Hey ......It's time for another Tiddly Inks Challenge!!!

For this week's challenge you have it easy! All you have to do is go find a gorgeous critter in the Tiddly Inks Store or maybe you have already purchased one, colour it up, put it on a card and enter it in this fortnight's challenge on the challenge blog... Here's mine...

This gorgeous little guy is called "Little Bear" and although technically he's not a really a critter but a little guy dressed as a bear...  You have to love his costume!! You can find him HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store.

I started out by printing Little Bear out on white card stock and then I coloured him in with my Prismacolor pencils. Then using these absolutely gorgeous papers from MME's Lost and Found 3 "Oliver" 6x6 paper pad and a dollie I had in my stash I put the card together with a little distressing and sewing...

The sentiment "Thinking of You" is from Hero Arts.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #103 - Love Is In The Air!

It's Tuesday which means it's time for a little Tiddly Ink LOVE... Which is a very appropriate today  because this fortnight's challenge is all about LOVE....

This week's challenge is to create a Valentine's card for someone very special. Be it your spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, mum, dad, maybe your BFF or those little cherubs in your life...

For my valentine's card I thought I would colour the gorgeous image using Wryn called "Heartfelt Love". Which you can find HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store.

I wanted the main focus of this card to be the gorgeous image so I went through my Deconstructing Sketches and found DS#37 which I have always found great for larger images.

I started out by printing out the image on white card stock and then colouring it in with my Prismacolor pencils.

I then sewed around the edges of the white card and distressed it a tiny bit using Tim Holts Antique Linen Distress ink. Then using some scrap bit of pattern paper from my MME's "Love Me" 6x6 paper pad put the card together... The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the string of pearls from Kaiser Craft.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #100 - Make It Like Pop's

It's time for another Tiddly Inks Challenge in which you can gather inspiration from a single card to pretty much create whatever you want. In this case, it's this gorgeous creation from a former Tiddly Inks Design Team member Pop's.

The challenge is to take any element of this card and make your own creation.  You can do a Christmas theme, use the turquoise color, use the image, use the design/sketch, or even the snowflakes!

I went with the gorgeous image that Pop's used "Sugar Plum Fairy".

I started out by printing the image out on white card stock and then colouring her in with my Prisma color pencils. Then using the very (un-Christmas like) papers from MME's Indie Chic "Ginger" 6x6 paper pad put the card together with a little distressing and sewing here and there. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

*Remember: You must use a Tiddly Inks image to qualify for any of the features or prizes.

Tiddly Inks Challenge #98 - Gratitude

It's time for another Tiddly Inks Challenge and this time it's all about "Gratitude".

I guess with Thanksgiving coming up very soon in America this challenge would be pretty much perfect for all my US friends, but even if you don't live in the US I always find having a few "Thank You" cards in my stash a pretty handy thing anyway, so you really don't have any excuses no to join in with all the fun!!!

I just love this image of Wryn in the Fall and I thought she would be a fantastic image to use for  a Thanksgiving/ Gratitude/Thank You card. I started out by printing the image on white card stock and then coloured Wryn in with my Prisma pencils. I fell in love with these beautiful warm papers from Lily Bee Designs 6x6 paper pad called "Autumn Spice" and thought they would make a perfect combination with Wryn. Then adding a pretty border punch from EK Success, ribbon, some distressing and sewing came up with the above card!

the sentiment is a stamp I have had forever from Hero Arts.
