Deconstructing Sketch #109 - Find Joy Everyday!

It's Thursday which means it's time for another Deconstructing Sketch...

This week I kind of ran out of time to do what I wanted to do... I was even going to get out my washi tape and do something a bit more special and wow you with my skills... But, you know how it is... School holidays, work, and life always get in the way ...LOL!

Anyway, as I was saying, I ran out of time but still wanted to use my Taylored Expression June "Stamp of the month" set called "You Make Me Happy". I teamed the stamp set with the 6x6 paper pad that I also get with my subscription... Simple Stories "Vintage Bliss". Might I just say I LOVE this paper pad!!!

Here is this week's fabulous sketch...

I paper pieced the umbrella including the handle and then I stamped out the clouds using my Clearsnap vivid mini "Straw" ink pad. The "Find Joy Everyday" sentiment comes from Hero Arts.

Here's what you have to do to if you want to play along with us...

1. Use the sketch above to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like.
2. Post it somewhere on the internet. Use keyword DS109 if you post to an online gallery like Splitcoaststampers.
3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post so we can stop by and see it.
4. Check back here next Wednesday to see if you are one of this week’s favorites and grab a badge for your blog.

Deconstructing Sketch #89 - Happy Birthday Wendy...

It's time for another Deconstructing Sketch!! And I must say it's another AWESOME one!!

Now you will have to excuse my interpretation of this sketch. Infact, you could say I kinda went a little over board in the details... What can I say?!!... I was on a roll....!!

The papers I used for this card {which just happens to be my BFF's 40th Birthday card} are from are from MME's Lost And Found Two's "Blush" 6x6 paper pad. I have used two different boarder punches and some lace to emphasize the different panels in the sketch. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Hero Arts and the gorgeous boarder stamp from Unity. I finished off the card by using brown ribbon and a bow and stuck some pearl pins in the bow itself.

Here's what you have to do to enter:

1. Use the sketch above to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like.
2. Post it somewhere on the internet. Use keyword DS89 if you post to an online gallery like Splitcoaststampers.

Deconstructing Sketch #79 - Some Moments...

Hello... Time for another Deconstructing Sketch... Already??....Seriously??.....

I am still at my sisters so I will make this very short and sweet. The papers are from MME. The sentiment from Hero Arts and the butterfly punches are from Martha Stewart. I used my Heidi Swap distresser to distress the papers and sewed around the the panels to give the card a bit of depth.

I actually made this card for a friend who wanted a unique wedding card... Hope she likes it!

This is Jen's fantastic sketch...

Deconstructing Sketch #57 - Enjoy The Moments!

I must say I Looooovvvvveeeee this week's Deconstructing Sketch. Not only is the design fantastic to work with it's also so versatile and the options you have are endless... Well, not endless, but you know what I mean!

I had to make a "guy's" card for my BIL as it's his birthday coming up at the end of the month and as I was going through my 6x6 MME's paper pads I came across one I hadn't used before from the Follow Your Heart collection called "Be Amazing". OMGoodness... I absolutely adore these papers, how can I have not used them before?!! You know how sometimes a card will virtually make itself and flows from start to finish? Well this one did... And I know I could have put more stuff on it but Leon is kind of a quite, hardworking guy and enjoys the simple things so that's what he got...

 This is Jen's fantastic sketch...

The sentiment is a  Hero Arts stamp that I have had forever... I find it really goes well on cards with different occasions like birthday's, thank you's etc...

If you'd like to join us this week all you need to do is create a project using the above sketch as inspiration. There are no specific image requirements for this challenge. Upload your project to your blog or to an online gallery and link it back to Jen's Blog using the Inlinkz.

Deconstructing Sketch #54 - Happy Birthday...

Another Thursday means another
Deconstructing Sketch Challenge!!!

This is my card for this week's challenge...

 And Jen's AWESOME sketch...

I went a little bit over the top with my layers this week... If
you know me and my cards at all this would be no surprise.

I stamped out the gorgeous Hero Arts flower 4 times using one
of my most favourite paper pads MME's Stella and Rose
"Gertie". I did this so I could cut out all the different layers
and make the flower a bit more interesting. I then used my
Glossy Accents in the middle and used little Kaiser Craft
pearls for the prons.

The "Happy Birthday" is also from Hero Arts.

If you’d like to join us this week all you need to do is create a
project using the above sketch as inspiration. There are no specific
image requirements for this challenge. Upload your project to your
blog or to an online gallery and link it back Jen's blog to Inlinkz.
