TTIC # 55 - Monochromatic Colour!

Ok.. It is Tuesday and that means that it's another fabulous

Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge

But, as much as I love doing a challenge....
It is not what's making me jump up and down in my seat!

This Is...

Yes, I have one more sleep to go and I will be
watching it!!!....
This time tomorrow I will be going out, have a nice dinner with
my friends Lisa and Hannah
then we will watch Twilight and after that....
New Moon!!!
Yah!! I am soooooo excited!! Can you tell!! LOL!!

Then, on Saturday my sister Cindy, her BFF Hayley, my wonderful and beautiful friends Susy, Sharon and my Wendy will be shopping, dressing up, having a nice dinner, some serious girlie time.....
And not forgetting a quick trip to the movies as well!!

Our "New Moon" weekend is finally here...
We have been planning this for months!!

Ok... Now that I have got that off my chest, we better get down to business...
For this week's theme our exquisite and elegant Eve came up with...

Make a project using a Monochromatic Colour scheme
inspired by the Twilight Saga.

For those who may not know or are unsure, a monochromatic colour scheme uses a single colour on most every layer of a project. In this type of scheme, various darker shades, grayer tones, and paler tints of the main colour may be included. In addition, the one colour is often paired with white or another neutral.
(Wording paraphrased from About.com)

So, for this card I used this weeks
Mojo Monday Sketch 113....

And because they are sooooo cute the "Twilight" inspired
Greeting Farm Digital Images
(btw, thank you so much Jen for helping me out with these!!).

I decided even before I had picked out a sketch and "Joyce" (Rosalie) for this card that I wanted to use blue...It has always been a favourite colour.
Then throwing in a bit of Basic Grey DP I had lying around
and everything seemed to fall into place...

I had so much fun colouring Rose's hair,
I have never actually attempted to do blond before...
I don't think it turned out too bad!

I also use one of the sentiments from Artful INKables "Fictionally Inspired" Set.

Stamps: TGF-Digital Image "Joyce", Artful INKables
Paper: Basic Grey, Blue Bazzill
Ink: Versafine-Black, TH Walnut Stain Distress Ink
Sketch: Mojo Monday 113
Accessories: Ribbon, Button
Technique: Distressing, Prisma Pencils

And finally, we're doing something even more different today!

LOL! Great minds think alike and I think that is what happened here. We both used the Mojo sketch, the color blue and a Greeting Farm image! We are like twins today!!

Your card though is just so perfect!! I love your blues and your coloring knocks me off my feet! Wonderful!! :)

I'm more than a little jealous that you are going to be seeing this twice in one weekend. I wish I could swing that. But once will be plenty. Looks like the Mojo sketch was the topic of the week, lol. I love what you did with this. I'm especially liking the offset rounded corners. That gives it a nice asymmetrical feel. Gorgeous job with the pencils again... you are really a pro with these. Layering her on that super dark background really makes her pop... really nice job. :D
