Deconstructing Sketch #66 - Happy Birthday!

Ok... So, I think I have finally caught up on my sleep after my holiday, now I just have to start catching up on everything else... I can hear my ironing yelling out to me as I type. LOL! We had such a fantastic time and I think both Andy and I are glad we took this week off work as well so we can get back into the swing of things... But first things first. One of the things on my long list that unfortunately includes the ironing was to do some fun stuff. This week's Deconstructing Sketch!!

My card...

I can honestly say that when I sat down to colour this gorgeous little image from Tiddly Inks called "Daddy's Girl", which you can find HERE in the Tiddly Inks Store. I realized how much I missed colouring... I really enjoyed the challenge of shading and I actually missed doing it... Sometimes a break is a good thing huh?!

I started this card by printing out the image and then colouring it in with my Prismacolor pencils. Seeing that the image that I picked to use doesn't exactly fit the amazing sketch Jen created for this week's challenge I flipped it. Then using one of my favourite 6x6 paper pads from MME from the Follow Your Heart collection called "Be Amazing" I came up with the above card.

This week's sketch..

The "Happy Birthday" sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie's "Everyday Sentiments"

If you'd like to join us this week all you need to do is create a project using the above sketch as inspiration. There are no specific image requirements for this challenge. Upload your project to your blog or to an online gallery and link it back to Jen's Blog using the Inlinkz.

Deconstructing Sketch #65 - You Are My Sunshine...

So while I am ... What was it? Oh yes, while I am sailing and snorkeling today in the middle of some beautiful blue ocean with gorgeous scenery, I am hoping that this week's Deconstructing Sketch has posted {Cause I promised Jen that it would}. Actually I probably won't be even think of anything back home... Ok, MAYBE my boys... But seriously can you blame me...LOL!!

Ok, enough mucking around { I can feel your eye rolling from here!!}... Here is my card for this week's sketch...

For this week's sketch I have used one of the new brand new images that Christy from Tiddly Inks released this week! This is a brand new character to add to the Tiddly Inks family and her name is Anna Belle. This particular image is called "Sunshine Anna Belle".

Firstly, I printed Anna Belle out on white card stock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolor pencils. Then I chalked around the image to give the impression of blue sky. This card really just made itself and fell into place very easy, from the perfect sentiment "You Are My Sunshine" that comes with Anna Belle to the little pink Prima flower and the little Martha Stewart butterfly punch...

Jen's fabulous sketch...

The papers are from MME's Lost and Found Two's 6x6 paper pad collection and is called approprately "Sunshine"...

If you'd like to join us this week all you need to do is create a project using the above sketch as inspiration. There are no specific image requirements for this challenge. Upload your project to your blog or to an online gallery and link it back to Jen's Blog using the Inlinkz.

Tiddly Inks Challenge - Summer Fun!!

What excellent timing and how perfect is this challenge??!! If you read my blog regularly you will know that at the moment I am not at home and am currently sunbathing, swimming or doing something incredibly fun in Vanuatu which is located just south of Fiji and approximately an 2 1/2 hour flight from Australia.... So while my friends in the Land Down Under are freezing and still in the middle if winter I can really appreciate and get into the right frame of mind for this Summer Fun Challenge!!!

For this card I decided to colour the gorgeous "Summer Sweet Wyrn". I printed her out on white card stock and then coloured Wryn in with my Prismacolor pencils all except for her dress which I paper pieced. I then cut her out and and using the very summery Echo Park's "Hello Summer" 6x6 paper pad, some very red ribbon and this fantastic Martha Stewart border punch came up with this card.

When you purchase Summer Sweet Wyrn she also comes with two sentiments and a lollipop so you have plenty of options when you want to colour her!

If you would like to join us for this two week challenge you can get the full details at the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog and if you like "Summer Sweet Wryn" you can find this gorgeous image HERE at the Tiddly Inks Store.

For my sample card I decided to colour the beautiful image of "Flutterby Anna Belle". I printed her out on white card stock and then coloured her in with my Prismacolor pencils. Now don't laugh at my clouds it's the first time I have EVER attempted to do them... I didn't think they turned out too bad. I must admit I did have some fun doing them... The papers are from MME's Lost and Found Two's "Sunshine" 6x6 paper pad and the butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart.

Please make sure you check out ALL the design teams sample of this gorgeous sweetheart Anna Belle they will knock your socks off with their amazing and awesome creations!!
