Hey, It's that time of the week again, time for another

Deconstructing Sketch...

This is my card for this week using Jen's amazing sketch...

I think I have all the colours!! The paper is from MME and

believe it or not are mostly scraps of dp that I had saved. Most

of it came from the Stella and Rose "Hattie" 6x6 paper pad.

The flower punches are from Paper Shapers and the lace I got

from Spotlight.

The gorgeous little image I used is called "Wryn - Grow

A Little Love" and I coloured her in with my Prismacolor

pencils and paper pieced her dress.

Wow, where has the time gone? I have no idea, do you? No,

oh well!! Ok... Seriously though, it's time for

The image I have used today is an old but favourite one

from Unity Stamps. The paper are from MME, Lost and

Found Two 'Blush" 6x6 paper pad...Another of my favourite

things and the border punch is from Fiskars.

I finished of the card with the left over papers and then

signed and when I was walking back to the car I took

this photo of the park that is in the middle of town.

I have to admit Strathalbyn has some very pretty places

to take some really good photos...

These are Andy's bags... He caught a plane at 6.30 this morning

for his work's annual conference. I know going away is part of his

job but it doesn't make it easier when he gets to go to The Gold

in their own special spot? Well... That's what I have to do everytime

I clean and dust it... Sometimes that's what a mother's love of her

DS #34 - A Little Flower Power Love!

Hey everyone,

It has been such a busy few weeks of this year already.

We have had family staying which is always a complete joy

and then sad because they have to go home to soon. We are in

the 4th week of 6 weeks of school holidays which means the boys

are just starting to get on each others nerves, which in turn makes for

a cross mum that has to remind them that they actually love

each other... So with Christmas and New Year out of the way, this

week I have slowly got myself back into my usual routine of work,

exercise, time with the family, cardmaking and now my new

commitment ...Twenty Twelve in Photo's, which I am loving!!

But just for today I would like to share with you another

options for taking photos were pretty limited there. But, I must

admit this whole process of taking a photo everyday has me

using the creative side of my brain a bit and I am trying to think

outside the box...So, here are my Jelly Beans...

Instagram but Ryan's mum/my BFF Wendy took it!!

Ryan turns 12 tomorrow and because we can't be there to

help him celebrate we went today and spent the afternoon

celebrating (well the kids did) instead!

Storm Coming In...

This shot was taken about 5.30 in the afternoon. We have

have just had a week's worth of 30 degrees + and now the

rain has come...Along with the thunder and lighting!!

Ok, to cut a long story short, Andy and I are planning to go on

holiday to Vanuatu in August this year. So when we were out yesterday

shopping for school stuff we decided we might as well look at buying

some new luggage. We were fortunate with the New Year sales

going on at the moment and bought 2 cases for the price of one..Ya!

My only dilemma was "Where was I going to put the darn things?'

The only place logical was in our walk in robe, but to do that I would

need to do some "spring" cleaning and declutter some of the stuff that

has been sitting up there for the last 6 years... So, I sort of suggested to

my darling adorable husband that while I was doing this and because

it would be empty that he paint the WIR since it was on our list of

things to do after we painted the whole house last year

... hence the photo!

"Happy New Year"

This year I thought I would try to put different things on my blog

and when the wonderful Lori Boyd suggested this fantastic idea

sharing one photo of ANYTHING you like everyday.. Well, I thought

I would give it a go... So I may have a lot to write about a photo I have

taken and I may not... But this is my first one...

This is one of our summer roses...It looks a bit wilted because

we are in the middle of a heatwave of 38+ degrees here in South

Australia at the moment (which is too hot)... I think it survived

today beautifully...

I made this card for a very good friend of Andy's... And mine

of course. His birthday is the day after Christmas so he gets

double pressie's. ;0)

6x6 paper pad. The border punch is from EK Success and I used

some liquid pearls to highlight the top of the border.

Instead of putting a big girlie bow on this "masculine" card

I decided to go with something a bit more manly... Or

something along those lines!

I finished the card off inside with more of the gorgeous papers.

Hello....

It's time for another amazing

Deconstructing Sketch

This is my card for this week...

And this is Jen's awesome sketch...

I have to say this sketch is perfect for when you want

to use an image OR just a sentiment... LOVE it!!

I used one of Kraftin' Kimmie's Christmas sentiments

for this card. The papers are from MME's Lost and Found

"Union Square" 6x6 paper pad, which I LOVE btw!!

The border punch is from Fiskars and the flower punches

are from EK Sucess.

I finished the inside of the card with more of the gorgeous papers and

border punch and stamped an Hero Arts "Merry Christmas" sentiment

down the bottom.

Happy Thursday!

It's time for another amazing

Deconstructing Sketch

Can you believe that we have reached 30 already?!!

I have no idea where that time went...Let alone that it's

Christmas in two weeks time arhhhhh!!! AND I still

haven't finished my shopping yet!!

Anywho your not here to listen to my Xmas woes...

Here is my card for this week...

You have to agree that with a little imagination you could

really go to town with this one!!

With this card I sort of stepped out of my comfort zone a bit.

I Just DID...No planning at all... I just went with what

felt right at the time... Am I happy with the results? Yes and no.

Am I happy I did it this way...definitely, this card is me...

Instagram Sunday!

Not an awful lot has happened in the Wardle household

this week. Andy had his birthday on Tuesday and I bought

him some motorbike leathers a few weeks ago...You should

see him getting in and out of them...SO funny!! But at least

I know that he's that little bit safer when he goes out riding...

Also, to help celebrate Andy's birthday one of Australia's most

fave bands, Cold Chisel, just happened to be playing at the

Adelaide Entertainment Center on Wednesday night so what

better way to spend it with our fantastic friends Wendy and James...

This is Cold Chisel...

Jimmy Barnes can still rock the house down! We had an

awesome time!

Just a quick pic of my gorgeous youngest son Cameron who

started his first day of High School transition this week...

He gets to spend 2 full days there later this week also...

CAM: Ummmm .... The tuck shop!

That is just SO Cameron ..LOL!!

Ok...

So Saturday I finally gave in and we put up the tree....

And even though it doesn't snow here in Australia cause of the

whole "Summer" thing...I had to get him...He's SO cute!!

Something A Little Different...

Now that I have retired from being a KK Girl I thought that

I would take this opportunity to do a few different things with my blog.

I will still be making cards to share but I wanted to turn my blog into...

Well, about ME I suppose... I want to share with you what makes me me,

if that makes any sense.. I am in no means a expert and nor do I know

everything about photography BUT I do know I LOVE my phone apps,

especially my Instagram so I thought I would start off this new phase of

my blogging life by sharing with you my week through these

shots.... And after that who knows!

On Tuesday this week my BFF Wendy and I went and saw

"Breaking Dawn". I know this isn't for everyone...But I love it!

GOLD CLASS BABY!!!

...Of course being at Marion Shopping Center a little shopping

was done... My new shoes....

On Friday I got my hair done... I usually have high lights put in

my hair but I asked my wonderful hairdresser Tracey if I could have

just one colour...I have NEVER had hair this dark before!

And whats a Saturday afternoon without making these with

my gorgeous boys...

Welcome to anotherKraftin' Kimmie Challenge! This week Michele is challenging everyone to make a cardthat includes a pin in it.

And this is what I came up with. I am getting a bit behind on my

Christmas cards so I thought I would colour Seraphina Angel for

this challenge. I also used Deconstructing Sketch #26 (again) for

some inspiration.. I LOVE this sketch!!

The papers are from MME's Lost and Found Two's "Rosy"

6x6 paper pad. Border punches are from EK Success and Fiskars.

When I first saw what Michele wanted us to use for this challenge

I thought CRAP... I don't have ANY pins!! So I went and ordered these

really pretty ones from my fave online scrap-booking store

Anna's Craft Cupboard.

I coloured in Seraphina in with my Prisma pencils.

My gorgeous sister Cindy asked us if we wanted to go to the annual

Penola Show with her and her family consisting of my two beautiful

nieces, Brooke and Ella and my very gorgeous nephew Ben...not

forgetting my BIL Greg of course. Penola is the small town where she and

I grew up and where my dad and Cindy and her family still live. Cin

actually asked us to join them a few years ago but as usual things (life)

always seem to get in the way but this year I was determined... Soooo I

I am hosting this week's challenge and I decided

to make this challenge easy on you all...Or harder, depending on

your point of view...I would like you to make a

"Monochromatic Card."

For those who don't know, monochromatic

means "of one colour" according to the Collins Dictionary.

So, to give you a little inspiration...

Here is my card....

When I first started to make this card "pink" was not even in the

equation... But I really like the look of these delish papers from

MME's Lost and Found Two's "Blush" 6x6 paper pad as Winnie's

(designed by Annie Rodrigue and available now) dressing gown.

I coloured Winnie in with my Prisma pencils.

Can you believe it?? So we're doing something special to mark the occasion!

Believe it or not this challenge is not as easy as Kimmie makes

it seem..lol! I have SO MANY favourite images and it was hard

to narrow it down to just one... I love Charlotte (my very first KK

stamp) and I love Drusilla, the glamorous Annette, The Asian

inspired girls...Oh and Willard and that's just SOME from the

Moonlight Whispers range, then you have Cheryl's and Emilie's

images not forgetting Cindy and Mindy and Chrissy's cuties...

arrrgh!!! See what I mean?! So after a very difficult decision in

the end though I thought I would colour Brigitte...I have always

enjoyed colouring her and it has always relaxed me...Maybe cause

she looks so relaxed in her bath...LOL!

This is mine...

For this project I thought I would colour in one of Kimmie's new

The papers are from My Minds Eye's Lost and Found "Portobello

Road" 6x6 paper pad. I used Jen Shults Deconstructing Sketch

#19 for inspiration...

I coloured in the Shepard in with my Prisma pencils

and for the challenge part I paper pieced his robes..

which isn't as easy as it looks...

Last of all I decorated the inside of the card with one of the

perfect "Nativity Sentiments" that you can also find in the store...

This week's

Deconstructing Sketch

...As always...Is a pleasure to work with!!

How Jen keeps coming up with them week after week

is just amazing...You should really give them a try!!

This is my card using this week's sketch...

And this is Jen's AMAZING sketch #21...

For this card I used one of Kraftin' Kimmie's Christmas

Interior Sentiment's sets. Now, I know that I said "interior"

BUT I think that you can use them on the front of your

card as well!

The papers are from Simple Stories "25 days of Christmas"

6x6 paper pad. The flowers are from a EK Success punch

and the lace is from Kaiser Craft. I distressed the card with my

Heidi Swapp edge distresser and some Tim Holtz Walnut Stain

distress ink.

I finished of the card using more of the papers on the inside and

another of the "interior" sentiments.

This is my card for this week's sketch...

Ok...I am now officially in "Christmas" mode! Being a

Deconstrucing Sketch Girl is the perfect opportunity to

get all those Christmas cards out of the way...

With all Jen's AMAZING sketches to chose from...

How can I go wrong?!

This week I thought I would colour up one of my new

Kraftin' Kimmie "Christmas" stamps Seraphina...

GORGEOUS isn't she?? The papers are from MME's Lost and

Found "Portobella Road" 6x6 paper pad. The border punch and

the little flowers are both from EK Success. The lace is from

Kaiser Craft.And the leaves are from a Martha Stewart punch.

I paper pieced her dress and coloured her in with my Prisma pencils.

I then finished the inside of the card with more of the papers and the

sentiment "Friends are kisses blown to us by angels!" that

comes with Seraphina when you buy her...

I coloured the Elf in with my Prisma pencils.

I then finished of the card with a sentiment from the

Christmas Interior Sentiments.

Today the girls and I are sharing with you some absolutelybeautiful ANGEL images from our amazing artist Annie Rodrigue... You are going to LOVE them... This is my card using the very gorgeous Angel

This amazing and beautiful image, one of 6 that Annie has designed

for the "Christmas" release is my favourite...maybe...Well what can I

say??!! They are ALL just so gorgeous that you will want ALL

of them!!

The papers are from MME's Lost and Found "Christmas"

6x6 paper pad ....Which is to die for!!! The border punch is from

Fiskars and the lace is from Kaiser Craft.

I used the Jen's Deconstrucing Sketch 9 as my sketch inspration.

And the sentiment "Angels sent from up above, please protect the

ones we love" comes with Felicity when you buy her...

I coloured Felicity in with my Prisma pencils...Might I add here

that I LOVED colouring her! All the different shades and detail

Ahhhh ....Colouring Heaven!!!

Then I finished the card off by stamping one of the many Christmas

sentiments from the The Christmas Interior Sentiment Set.
